It's been a while...

So, it's been a long time since I posted here.  I am in the Administrative Leadership doctoral program at Shenandoah University.  It's a weekend cohort that meets every third weekend.  It's a pretty grueling workload in between classes too.  I usually have several journal articles to read or summarize, case studies to analyze and write up, as well as usually a half a book to read and digest in between.

I am focusing on assessment, particulary using formative assessment to improve student achievement.  In the past few months I am reviewing work on using technology, such as individual response systems, to improve student learning.  I am looking for input on what direction to take my research in preparation for my dissertation proposal.  I will be finished the coursework in the spring, 2013, so I have to begin solidifying my topic this year to avoid wasting valuable time next year.

I'd appreciate hearing about what research my colleagues would find interesting in this area.
